Who

The Hackathon will be open to both individuals (16 years +) and teams from central Victoria.

Creating a complete and transacting business is possible in a weekend and a mix of key skills gives a team the best chance of achieving that outcome.

Business experience and customer perspective, skills in marketing and digital channel management, design, both visual and industrial, web and coding experience and operations management are the key elements of building and launching a new business.

Individual participants will be encouraged to declare their strengths in any of these areas, to help form up teams with a range of skills or to complement existing but incomplete teams.

When

Friday 15 October 6-9pm
Saturday 16 October 8am-6pm
Sunday 17 October 8am-6pm

Starting after work on the Friday evening and concluding with a showcase of new businesses on the Sunday afternoon, this Hackathon promises to be a high energy weekend of learning and creating with new friends.

Where

In an everchanging COVID world, we aim for this to be a hybrid event with both in person and online activities. Information sessions and challenges will be delivered via Zoom. Teams will utilise breakout rooms on Zoom or, if restrictions permit, meet in a physical place.

NB: A strong internet connection is essential. If required and restrictions allow, access can be arranged to collaborative meeting places across the region with Wi-Fi access.

What

There will be a combination of information sessions and challenges, on your way to proudly pitching your new business after 48 hours of intense activity.

Experts, coaches and mentors will support all the teams and there will be a wealth of resources available, including help with coding and design if you need it.

Any teams wanting to push on after the weekend will have the chance to qualify for ongoing mentoring and our Accelerator Program.
