Got a great idea for a new business or interested in seeing how a complete, new business can be built?
Startup Central Victoria is inviting you to learn how to build a business from scratch!
You will be matched with other participants and experts from across central Victoria so you can complete the Hackathon business challenge using your combined skills.
This event is a fun and rewarding opportunity to sharpen your business capabilities and think outside the box. By the end of the Hackathon, your team will understand how a complete, new business can be built using contemporary tools and techniques.
This is a FREE in person event at La Trobe University’s Bendigo campus which will run from 9am to 6pm on Sunday May 22 and Sunday May 29, 2022.

The Hackathon will be open to residents of central Victoria (18 years +).
Creating a complete and transacting business is possible over two days and a mix of key skills gives a team the best chance of achieving that outcome.
Business experience and customer perspective, skills in marketing and digital channel management, design, both visual and industrial, web and coding experience and operations management are the key elements of building and launching a new business.
Individual participants will be encouraged to declare their strengths in any of these areas, to help form up teams with a range of skills.

Attendance at the online Opportunities Forum on the evening of 12 May is also highly recommended.

There will be a combination of information sessions and challenges, on your way to proudly pitching your new business after two days of intense activity.
Experts, coaches and mentors will support all the teams and there will be a wealth of resources available, including help with coding and design if you need it.
Participation in the Hackathon is free of charge thanks to funding received from the Victorian State Government.
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided on both days.
